Title: How To Get Quakex To Run On Evolutionx?

this is not really in the right thread but i'll try my best to answer

1st: Quake2X is a standalone homebrew game, does not need any emulator, it has a .xbe executable to start it

2nd: heres an example of how to "not need to add a line for every new thing you add to your drive"

under [Menu] in your evox.ini try this:

      Section "Games"
      {
         AutoAddItem "e:\games\"
         SortAll
      }

i'm not sure if the sortall is needed, but that will auto-add anything that is in a subfolder of Games and that has a default.xbe inside

Just copy over your FULLY UPDATED PC version of Quake 2 to its own folder on your XBOX hard drive, then copy your QuakeX files over that, replacing any files it needs to, I.E. the baseq2 directory and its contents.

Finally you need to rename the default_retail.xbe to default.xbe, reboot your Xbox and your set.

baseq2 isn't on the PC CD & I'm running XP so I can't install the game.
Damnit I really want this game to work on my xbox (I travel alot).

Damnit I really want this game to work on my xbox (I travel alot).

It should be in the Install folder on the Q2 cd.. it's there, look around.
