If it's late 2002, then it probably has 5849. But that's just a guess.

Put old Slayers disc in which of course didn't work but XDK listed the XBEs on it,... and Avalaunch came up so I tried it and it loaded!? V0.49.1 worked fine. (I could not make an Avalaunch boot disc work or the later version work just the on eon my old slayers disc)
I went into the File Manager and then copied Avalaunch folder from the DVD into E/Devkit/tools. I then copied the stray avalaunch.xml file from the DVD into the Avalaunch foler on the xbox.
Avalaunch loads form the XDK launcher and then I changed and saved the network and FTP (remember lower case username and Pword) FlashFXP then sees it immediately
I'm pleased, now I can mess with it big time

Use Avalaunch 0.49.3 Xmas Edition!!
That works as well.
The other later versions have been packed and dont work.
