just dont ever use those shitty install programs u never know what is going on.
ok to get the dash files open the XDKRecovery5849.exe in winrar yes i mean open it in WINRAR
get win rar from rarlabs.com i think
then extrate it to a folder say c:\xdkrecovery
then go in there and ull see c:\xdkrecovery\devkit
c:\xdkrecovery\tdata
c:\xdkrecovery\xbox
c:\xdkrecovery\xdash
c:\xdkrecovery\xdashdata
c:\xdkrecovery\XDKSAMPLES
c:\xdkrecovery\xodash
no go into xdash and copy all off that into ur c:\ on ur xbox
if it say overwrite say no
Now if u want to run the debug dash xshell.xbe u will need a debug bios installed.
i recommed xecutor 3 bios because it can turn on and off debug mode
now then copy xdksamples folder into c:\ on ur xbox
then copt the contents of the xbox folder into e:\
then copy devkit into the e:\
for the tdata open it up and open the tdata on ur xbox up and copy the contents for one the the other which is just this folder "fffe0000"
then open dashboard.xbx
in a HEX EDITOR NOT NOTEPAD i recommend winhex
then change \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2;xshell.xbe to \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2;evox.xbe
i havnt tried this but if u want u can use notepad but every time u delete a letter add a space to the end of the text and when u add charater remove a space from the end
