Title: Access G Drive In Game...
Post by: DarkRiot701 on October 24, 2005, 10:49:00 AM
I was just wondering if there was a way to get acces to the G Drive on my debug xbox WHILE playing a game. I can do it for F Drive as long as I have the fdrive.dxt file in E:\DEVKIT\dxt folder.
What I did to achieve this was I opened fdrive.dxt in a hex editor and replaced the words "partition6" & "fdrive" with "partition7" & "gdrive" and put that file in the dxt folder. Now I have access to G Drive IN GAME but nothing else...
I wan't access to ALL of my partitions especially E, F & G.
If anyone can help that would be great.

make an copy of the fdrive.dxt file and change it, you can have more than one dxt file

I DO have more than on dxt file in that folder but when I load a game only the G Drive dxt file is in use, so I can only get access to G Drive in game. Also if i have the changed fdrive.dxt file in the folder renamed to gdrive.dxt when I have the dashboard loaded, the C Drive leads to the C Drive like normal, F Drive (Memory Unit 1A) leads to the G Drive and the G Drive (Memory Unit 1B) leads to G Drive too!!! OMG! dry.gif If I delete my hex-edited gdrive.dxt file I get access to the C & F Drive in game AND on my dashboard just fine.

Can someone tell me how to make .dxt files or make on for me for the G drive because editing the fdrive doesn't seem to work properly.
