Well, it wont work while playing a game, you would have to rewrite the whole xbox to do that... it is possible but just use a pc then?

The Xbox does not support running multiple apps/games at once so you will not be able to implement that.

Trillian is not open source so you definitely won't be able to 'port' it.

If you are serious about this then having a look at Gaim, that should at least let you see how the different protocols work
