Title: Screen Grab Kit Help

My friend sent me the "Screengrabber kit - Obie" and it uses XDK.  Well...when I load it my screen flickers like crazy, so I have no idea what it says.  All I can read is "XDK Launcher" and thats it.  Is the reason for this because im using a softmod with M8 bios?  Should I use the complex debug bios or something something?

I have a 5101 kernal.  I did exactly what the instructions said on installing the XDK stuff.  But I tried using the "Yoshihiro Debug BFM bios", but didnt know if I were suppose to change the path for it to load an .xbe or not.  Im not too sure what version of XDK Launcher I have, but ill check when I get home.

I have a crystal 1.6 and look here:


I setup my debug kit with pblmetoo and using the "Adoubeur Debug BFM" bios from the folks at Gueux. Works like a charm!

Alrighty, im going to start messing around with bios stuff.  Im tired of XBL for right now...and no, I dont have a 1.6, I think I have a 1.3.

Hey Brouhaha, I ran that bios thingy, but it still isnt working...did you edit anything in your boot.cfg?  Because I keep going through it seeing why the hell it isnt booting!

EDIT:
I tried to use the pblmetoo with that bios, and I just get a black screen.  I enabled the log thing in the boot.cfg, but I have no log file...

Hrm, mkay.  Well I have XDK Launcher 1.00.5849.1 with Yoshhihiro-256k-Debug-Multi-2004 as my bios.  It all loads just fine.  But when I try launching Halo or Halo 2 or some other games, I just get a black screen.  I read the "Halo 2" topic, and it was saying update the xbdm.dll file with the newest XDK.  But I was wandering, where can you get the newest XDK?  Can it be found in the "usual places"??  Or could I just use a different BFM bios and load Halo/Halo2??

I bet I could do it with a mod chip, but trying to do this with a softmod is hard.  Mostly because I cant get Halo and Halo 2 to load.

Im working on that now.  It has to be an offical Xbox bios, which I have.  Ive got it set up so my Xbox Live tab says "Evox Dash" and when I click it, it loads XDK.  Then from there I can create a Xbox Live account, but I have problems logging in.  Then it doesnt read any of the offical game disc's, but when I burn my own disc it can read it, but wont launch it.  When I try launching it I get "An error occurred loading an Xbox executable."  I got that message when I try launching anything but the AudioConsole thingy.  So im wandering, is there anything I have to add for XDK to read the offical game disc's?  Or is it just the bios being gay??

Ive added stuff in the "Tools" section, and this is what I can load and cannot load:

Audio Console App          Load
DolphinClassic                Load
Gamepad                       Failed
RemoteX(Evox)              Failed
Xbox Dashboard             Failed

So what the hell is going on??

So then if I used the other bios's, that means im running unsigned code, so if I were to try connecting to Xbox Live I would get banned...

I have listed below what is said in teh readme file from teh Screen Grabber Kit - Obie file.

unfortunalty I am not able to run it gets error code 13 (from the loader that is included)

running a softmodded xbox v1.6 (not sure of dash will update when i get this info)

simply boot debug mode from your apps menu, and enter the debug and
 dash ip's into XIG2,

True for 1.6 xboxes (as I've found out).  I had a 1.0 that took screenshots just fine (as seen in my sig).
