yeah i have gueux bios on my box
i really can't tell what your problem is, but try to get a different xdk and see if that works (i have 5558 with vis studio .net and used to have 4627 with vis studio 6 and they both debugged fine under the gueux (with 5558 xdk) and tatX (with 4627 xdk) bios's)
cheerz
I'll blow my brains out, i got an older version of the XDK (4627) and nothing, still doesnt work, changed bios to Yoshihiro's and nothing, changed dash, nothing... It must be some stupid configuration issue with VS.NET.
I even reconfigured the PC from scratch and only installed VS.NET and the XDK. I dont have a clue of what to do next!
PLEASE, help, i'd be eternally grateful!! Please.

I've experienced this issue. Unfortunatly for you, I can't remember exactly how i solved it. From what I recall, some xbox specific files were misplaced but not sure...
If Hydras-World Tutorial is not the one you followed, you might wanna have a look at it.
Good luck
Brouhaha, you mean files on the Xbox were misplaced? or files in the PC?
i did use hydra's tutorial, and followed every step. ive tried 2 debug dashes, hydra's method and the one by complex (4627).
please, try to remember, i need this, i really do.
So what? that error doesn't even matter. You don't need debugging info for the kernel, just your program. Just skip that dialog, or did you know that when youo install the XDK that it copies xboxkrnl.exe to your hardrive? YOu could just navigate to that so it will stop whining.
dankydoo
for example, after clicking OK, i had set a breakpoint and it doesnt "break", it still doesnt debug. what do you mean by "navigate to that"?
Any news on this?? I'm having the same exact problem, and it's driving me nuts.
I have been getting the same error in my attempt to get a Debug BIOS working with VS. However, I get this error first:
"The Xbox target system is already running \Device\Hardisk0\Partition2\xshell.xbe"
I've tried every Debug BIOS I can get my hands on, and all yield the same result, so I know it's not the BIOS. It's definitely an issue with the files on the Xbox.
Does anyone have a fix? Thanks in advance.
(HALO SE Xbox v1.2-1.3 w/ Focus video encoder and SmartXX v2)
I've had every problem that every person here has had. I've tried everything as well. Not sure what else to try, but I still can't get it to work.
Also, I have installed VS.Net on two different computers connecting to the same xbox. Neither one works correctly. I am assuming it is something with the xbox. I have gone over Hydra's tutorial many many times. I am thinking it may be a problem with the location of files on the xbox.
Will keep researching.
I've never had _any_ problems....BUT
If your using a BFM bios then you need the Debug RC4 Key for it.
Don't ask for the Debug RC4 Key thought, it's against rules.
OK, so if that's the case, what would I do with that RC4 key?

Anybody got any solutions to the symbols not loading problem?
I am having the same problems with the symbols loading. I have 1.1 box and have tried various bios, and everything mentioned above....any help would be appreciated
I've also got the same problems, but only with the yoshiro and geux bioses, TATX works fine(exept i loses the link after each time i start a debug session and i have to reset the info in the dash to make it work again)
Edit: i have a 1.0 xbox btw
Im using the debug bios thats with x3 & works fine never had a problem.
lubby, you RULE!
I did it a little different. I always wanted a way to launch a the XDK from Ava (my main dash) so I set up PBL metoo and used the Complex_4627_Debug_BFM-1MB.bin, ALL PROBLEMS that were listed in this forum are GONE! Thank you very much!
I was having the same problem about breakpoint in debug With VS2003, SDK 5558 AND Xbox V1.6...
I've found a BFM bios that works fine : http://gueux.be/modu...hp?storyid=3838
And now it works fine...
