Pete: had you previously tried build 104? If so, you may need to reregister the DLL's in the new location to get it to work properly.
CODE
regsvr32 C:\VXCR_PA404-104\****.OCX

morbidpete: Hrm.. Which dashboard are you using? (ie which ftp server is being used?) Also, have you tried deleting your settings.ini and trying again? Do you have existing soundtracks on the xbox added via m$dash?

| Hey, Post by: [GS]EqUaTe on April 28, 2004, 03:58:00 PM It is an intentional limitation, and unlike with most unix variants, you CANNOT get around it. You can have *'s in ID3 tags, and it is possible that this would cause VXCR to fall over as a result.. Could you pm me about sending me a few of the files? Especially the two that aren't working properly, and a couple that do seem to be.. Post by: thetruethugg on April 28, 2004, 09:55:00 PM Post by: [GS]EqUaTe on April 29, 2004, 01:05:00 AM I'll have a look at the no id3v1 stuff and see what happens.. I can tell you that it works flawlessly with compliant Oggs, but you do need to install the directshow filter, if you haven't already (find it on www.doom9.org ) Hrm. I assume then from what you've said this time that these extra chars are showing up in VXCR, not in explorer, which makes a little more sense. I'll see about duplicating it. If so, could you perhaps try deleting them from within the m$dash and reuploading? Ah, just noticed that you already did that.. In that case.. Could you rename your st.db file to something else (st.db.bak possibly?), and then rip a single track in msdash to create a new one.. Delete that track and then the soundtrack it was in, and try again with the program? :-) Otherwise, BlueCELL is going to have to track it down.. :-) Rikkimaru: I suspect you've tried this, but I'm going to mention it just in case.. Reboot your computer and try again.. What format are you trying to convert and upload, and what is it doing when it gives you that error? Post by: [GS]EqUaTe on May 02, 2004, 01:51:00 AM I can root out a program I used to fix that problem when I encountered it before, back when winamp moved to 2.9x, as they fixed their Ogg decoder to be compliant (I think it was redone by one of the official developers..) I had this exact issue. Fresh download - tried deleting the settings.ini file. I am aslo using Avalaunch (not sure if it matters or not but curious). I used his solution and created a soundtrack from the Xbox itself. All is better now. Not sure what the deal is though. Nice program - I can't wait to go and do some gaming. Post by: [GS]EqUaTe on May 03, 2004, 02:50:00 AM Once you have a working st.db, you can delete the soundtrack you created in the msdash, and then add your own from VXCR. There will be improved handling of this in the near future. Post by: [GS]EqUaTe on May 03, 2004, 09:22:00 AM Hrm.. Could you reinstall the VB6 runtime files please? (Can't remember a dl site just now, but if you can't find one I'll go a-hunting.. shouldn't be too hard) Also, if you had a previous version, please reregister the .OCX files and delete settings.ini . I have tried deleting all my xbox soundtracks and installing a new one and deleting this as well as renaming the original settings.ini file but still get the same result all the time. I use xbmc ftp and have tried evox with the same result. Now I have zero soundtracks to listen to and am a bit miffed. Can anyone help with this as this looks like an awesome app if it's working and I have been looking for something like this for a while now. Help Anyone??? Cheers Post by: SupaDawg on July 08, 2004, 09:05:00 PM Post by: Drumzrob on July 09, 2004, 12:01:00 PM *EDIT Also if i just try to upload without w/o renaming it crashs. *EDIT I just got an error trying ot copy music via the xbox. "you have reached the maximum number of 500 track". Something like that. Anyone else get this. *EDIT So apparently, and i may have looked over it, but we can only copy .mp3's over that are then converted to .wma format. We can't just transfer .wma files over without converting. Is there a way to do this? I copy music using WMP so it saves them as .wma. Basically i don't want ot convert my .wma files to mp3 just so they would be converted back to .wma when they are transfered.
