Been working on Baku Baku 2 lately...its coming along nicely...
Custom Skinning is in...(as in you can change skins during play etc)
Eating works 100% flawless now
Everything is smooth, blocks fall smoother, move smooth etc
teh code is nice this time around
adding extra features will be a lot easier...
bonus games will probably be added...Test your Bite?

ah, what was i thinking, thats 10 player baku baku ^^ hehehe... the obvious problem is screen size...its hard to see the blocks when it gets small, so online would only be 4 player (2 vs 2 battles etc)that 10 player screenshot was just me having a bit of fun...

there is a c&c engine port to SDL if you're interested on not starting from scratch.. you can find it from the main sdl page ( libsdl.org ).. It's not complete, no AI and some other things...

Update for the one or two interested:
Just finished up on skin support: its in, its nice, its easy...(drop and play skin support)
the menu is great...i like it...
everything is smooth...theres 1 or 2 block place bugs i need to work out (NOTHING major)...eating still works 100% 
the AI is better, im still going to work on it a bit, but at least it *tries* to play this time (match blocks etc)...
ive added support for up to 8 players... 8 players makes the boards quite small, but its very playable, and quite fun too
you can select who controls the board (ie player 1 controls board 1, ai for the rest... hell you can make player 1 control 7 boards and cpu for 8 (dont know why you would, but you can)...
two game modes: free for all and team (red vs blue)...can be you (team red) vs 7 (team blue) cpu if you want... altho you vs 2 ai is a challenge...
still debating on what the backgrounds should be (static textures, or a 'pretty' particle engine...)
network code and sound are all thats left to implement...
hopefully it runs smooth online

well, we attempted to work in online play, but its not going to work with my network setup, so until the day i get a router i cant get network into my games....however:
1: game will be finished sooner
2: other areas get more work
3: someone else can put online play in

Welp couldnt release today due to a problem with Mounting clashign with Skin support... dont know what to do honestly...will have to ask the forums for help on this one...shouldnt be too hard tho...will be out any day now one way or that other

Well its been released.... my xbox kicked the bucket so i decided just to release it instead of waiting until i can fix it....if theres any bugs please tell me here...will make better skins later
should be a way better improvement over part 1... i suck at graphics tho so...
will focus on TRYING to clone Daytona USA/making my RTs and fixing whatever bugs are found in Baku....

if you use an old BIOS youll have to patch it i guess

i've already patched the default.xbe with the betamodpatcher and the adr-patcher but nothing.
