Title: Newb Question
Post by: Wishi on August 03, 2003, 04:11:00 AM
D: is the drive which is mounted to where your xbe is currently placed not just the DVD drive. So if the xbe is in the e:\\ drive then you should still use d:\\font.bmf

Did you not read my reply? You just place the xbe and the font file together and leave the font path as d:

This got me too...

As Wishi said. The directory that your XBE is in gets mounted ad D:\ when your app starts no matter where that is. So you need to use D:\ to refer to anything in or under that directory.... It's wierd but true.

So even if your program is runnning from e:\IDontCare you refer to this directory in code as D:\

Morden.

Ahhh sorry Wishi. I read your reply but it took a second glance for it to actually sink in. I'll give it a go tonight.
