| Question to Voltaic How hard would it be to make an xbox .xbe to just use a .ini file to set stuff to a config.xap then add/replace it and resign the xboxdash.xbe from the xbox itself? If that could be accomplished then we could put like an update button on the dash and then have a auto add function. |

| BTW, this is about the MS Dash not Evox. |

| DMagic1, That is how winxap works, it changes your settings menu. If you want to edit your dash, without replacing the settings menu, you will have to follow one of the text tutorials that are out there. |

| In my next release i will add the option of removing menus from the submenu hopefully. And also the option of a 5 button menu too. Anything else "You Dont F***ing Use"? |

////////////SUBMENU///////////////////// //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // Set the SubMenu Items // You can set them to whatever you want // Set how many SubMenu items you are goin to use //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// SubMenuItems = 4; // 6 or less SubMenuItem1 = "Games"; SubMenuItem2 = "Applications"; SubMenuItem3 = "Reboot"; SubMenuItem4 = "Shutdown"; SubMenuItem5 = "Other"; SubMenuItem6 = "Other"; //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // Set what Menus you want to launch from each SubMenu item // Options you can use: ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // 0 = Dashboards Menu // 1 = Apps menu // 2 = Emus menu // 3 = Games menu // 4 = Reboot Xbox // 5 = Shutdown Xbox ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// SubMenuLaunch1 = 3; SubMenuLaunch2 = 1; SubMenuLaunch3 = 4; SubMenuLaunch4 = 5; SubMenuLaunch5 = 4; SubMenuLaunch6 = 2; |

| dlux using the method you used to search for games, isnt that close to have an autosearch? The code for getting XBE titles must already be available in memory3.xap, and with your code for finding XBEs it could be workable. |

| 1. Start with a fresh clean unedited set of xip/xbe files. 2. Save the xip after you add/replace all the xaps to that certain xip. 3. Go To File Resign Dashboard. 4. Browse for you xboxdash.xbe file 5. Using the BROWSE button at the very bottom to select the folder that "ALL" your xips are in to resign. 6. Start back at 1 on each xip you edit. Hope that helps a little. |
| CODE |
| g_bXOnDashExists = theConfig.NtFileExists( "\\Device\\Harddisk0\\partition2\\xodash\\xonlinedash.xbe" ); |
| CODE |
| g_bXOnDashExists = true; |

| Just had a thought, and wondered if one of you guys that doesn't have a live updated dashboard would like to try it out. If so, give it a shot, and see if it works. open default.xap inside default.xip, and find :
and replace it with:
then rebuild, and resign, and load the dash, I believe that this should make the xbox live button appear on the dash, even though you haven't updated. I don't have a non-updated dash, so I can't try this myself, but, hopefully it works. |

| you can update your dashboard without getting banned from live. |
