Title: Need Slight Help With A Vc++ Command...
Post by: jippie on June 29, 2003, 12:39:00 PM
QUOTE (Edge_3 @ Jun 29 2003, 06:05 PM)
I want to write a simple program (my 2nd xbox project) that loads when I select a live enabled game from within evox, which detects if a cable is in the ethernet port, and refuses to run if one is.

I need the function that launches a program from within mine, very much like EvoX does when one is selected. Help, anyone?

Not sure but I think it is XLaunchNewImage!!

Sorted, it all works now. The program runs when I select the game from the menu in EvoX, and if there is a cable in the ethernet port, its asks for it to be removed. If there isnt, it just runs the game. Spot on....

Wow, nice job! So does this means that you can NOT log onto live by mistake?

Its just a program that you put in the same dir as a ripped live game, then you run that instead of the default.xbe. It detects whether or not there is a cable plugged in the back and if there is a screen comes up where u can go back to the dash or unplug the cable to run the game. That's all. It seems to do the job. Ideally i want a program that actually disables the ethernet port, but that ain't possible...

Do people actually want this program? Could pass it round, no fuss or owt....
