I think that directX is probobaly scaling your texture to a power of 2......

Hello,

This is just a thought, maybe DirectX is looking at the image as though it was 32bit and you supplied a 16bit image or maybe It thinks you are using a 16bit image while you are providing an 8bit. In either case this would also result in half an image...

I hope this makes sense... I am VERY new to xbox programming myself. If I gave you my email address would you mind talking some more about doing 2D on the xbox?

Actually in wants a 24 bit bitmap.......  And the problem was with directx converting to a power of 2

Well I am back at my original problem.  It turns out that making my image a power of 2 actually had no effect on the image.  In my rush to get it to work I forgot to take out my scale factor, so the whole time it was actually being stretched......

So does anyone have any other ideas on what my problem can be?
