I'd check VCD and SVCD, but all of mine are on CD-Rs. ARGH.

Have you had any problems with the movies going very very dark to very very bright and doing this continuously?

Can be run from disc (CDRW - won't work on DVDR) or straight from Hard Drive

Wonder why it won't run off a DVDR?  Strangeness. blink.gif

if you install dvd-x 2 onto your hdd you can just put a dvd in and, turn the power off and on. the movie will work.but you must have the evox dashboard installed.
this is my set up.

1. xbox with openbox mod.
2. ricoh 5125a dvd burner.
3. 80 gb hdd
4. evolution x 2.2 bios and evox dashboard.
5. and 97 xbox games.

Great work on cracking that puppy.. must have been hard.

I can't get vcd or svcd to work with it though. Bu  R1 and R2 dvd's work fine!

Have tried both dvdr and cdrw so it might not be fully compatible.

<fx: waiting for next release with eager>

Great work again guys

I have btw Enighmah final chip and Evo X installed    biggrin.gif

You're probably running the output through a VCR, this is the Macrovision protection.

i see that yall are all having great sucsess.. but unfortunetly i'm not.. i can't even get the thing extracted.. i have gotten it from three different locations and all of them say that the CRC check failed when i try to extract the *.iso file. I can view the text file fine..

I'm using WinRar 2.90 and i also tried WinAce 2.11

this is really weird.. lol

i'm saving my remote control...still has some use...like the built-in music player...and being wireless is still a plus...apparently the next release of xboxmediaplayer will support remote...

i tried vcd and svcd on cdrw, and neither worked.  i was hoping it would, cause i'm finding xbmp to be a bit buggy with vcds...

i have enigmah final...i'm guessing i'll never have the no-reset-on-eject option, right?  i use dvdx by booting up evo-x with tray open, starting up dvdx, then closing tray with movie dvd in it.

Okay, so it's multi-region, but can you play PAL movies on a NTSC system, and vice versa?

Why Not with enimgah Video Select Mode V2?  Sure I haven't tested this yet.  But If it works for games then why not for movies.

I've used the search function and searched the term "DVD", but couldn't find the info I need.  I'm new to all this xbox stuff, and am finding it pretty nifty.

I am trying to place the DVDx on the E partition and have the latest EvolutionX dash(the one with skins) beable to load it.  I have looked at the tutorials hear and elsewhere, but I am lost as to how to do this?

Can someone please help me out?

chiapet -

Put the DVD you want to play in the drive and then turn on the Xbox.  With the latest Evox dashboard you can turn off autoplay.  Go to the player, and watch your movie!
