Title: Interested In Softmodding And Xbmc But Need Some Help

Hi guys, I'm completely new to this whole X-Box modding thing despite having an X-Box for years. I'm interested in turning my X-box into a Media Playing Powerhouse by using X-Box Media Center. I've been reading up on all this fro about a week, but I'm a bit apprehensive.

Basically, I need a few tips/bits of information, just so I understand what I'm getting into.

1) Is there any way to soft mod other than hotswapping or having one of those three games? They are extremely hard to come by...

2) Can X-Box Media Center stream Music/Movies/Media from my Computer? Easily? How?

Any and all information is helpful. I really appreciate a good forum community.

1. No - hotswap or exploitable game are your only options. Depending on where you are in the world, the games are regularly available on eBay or in second hand shops (like Cash Converters) - I picked up a really clean copy of Splinter Cell in Gamestation last week for 99p! The original Splinter Cell is the one to go for, because all versions are exploitable, whereas for Mechassault and Agent Under Fire you need specific versions.

Ah! One more thing. Does anyone have the tutorial to turn an X-Box controller and female USB cord into a USB adapter/Memory card for the X-Box?
