Ok so i gave up trying to use a IDE cable..
Guess ill just use a game save exploit, now i hear you dont need a special mem card but you can use a normal USB memory.
Is this the adapter i need? http://www.psxcare.com/product.php?xProd=437&xSec=9 (swedish site but theres a pic)
cheers!

Yes, that's the one you need.
Be aware that not all USB memory devices work on the xbox. The size must be smaller than 4 gigabytes.
Modern pc's use SATA cables to connect their harddisk. The older ones used PATA which is a 40 or 80 ribbon flatcable.
If your pc uses the 80 wire cable, you can use your xbox 40 wire cable to connect the xbox harddisk to the pc.
If your pc only has one PATA connector, things get complicated to perform a hotswap.
regards.

Sandisk 1gb usb drives are compatible and are pretty much all you need to hold the gamesaves as well as save all your gamesaves if you upgrade your hard drive.

Got hold of a old kingstone datatraveler 128mb, saw that the 256mb version was supported hoping the 128mb one is aswell..
Going to see if i can get a hold of splinter cell and that adapter tomorrow
Thank you very much for your replies! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
