Goes to show how sleepy I am I meant to put in the kernel version n actually say kernel not dash tongue.gif but atm I don't actually remember which kernel was on the disk as opposed to his which honestly at this point doesnt matter.

if you are getting a blank screen is the LED orange by chance if so have you tried to boot the xbox with slayers or AID

give Slayers boot disk or Aid a try and see it they work at giving you ftp access

thnx for the help but i finally got it going, it just finally worked with the drive error smile.gif but only problem is I went and made the ndure disk specifically for its kernel 5101 and yet it still goes black when im done installing ndure.  You think Ill have a better chance if i just update to 5838? I'm thinking maybe thats the problem???
Now if i wanted to try that should it update through halo 2 and what do i goto to do it?

You're confusing the kernel with the dash. Halo 2 will update the dash, not the kernel. The kernel is fixed (unless you flash the TSOP), so if it's 5101 then build a Kingroach softmod with 5101 kernel selected.

What now happens when the Xbox boots? Flubber, LED turns yellow, screen goes black?

Thnx for all the help guys, I figured it out my dumb self kept forgetting to back-up the c drive tongue.gif . Once I did that everything was ok.

Hey Guys. about 10mins ago - i have just done the same thing.
This is the 5th XBOX i have done the ndure softmod with, and this time i simply forgot to check the dash version...  sad.gif  And used the same CD to run the ndure script that i have used before.

I am also getting the same issue: Boot up XBOX Flubber logo, then black screen with Orange LED on front.

Is there a correct procedure to overcome this?

Whe the ndure script was running, i did do a backup of drive C first. Should i do the drive C restore with the ndure tools?

Build a new Kingroach softmod on top of the stock 5960 C from Slayers or CASH. Boot with Frosty's Rescue disc, use ftp to delete the existing C and to copy the new Kingroach files across.

Sorry to be a pain but don't really understand alot of that... can I restore from C Backup to give me the original dash, then update the dash?

I have heard of Slayers disk, but never used it.

can i get abit more info...  sorry and thank you
