No just select .06 (if that is what your chip bios is set to)

Ok, I downloaded Ndure 3.1 from xbins, copied my C folder over to the PC, ran Ndure on it in Retail mode (set to .06, and my Kernel 4817).
Then I copied all the files over to my Xbox C drive, adding ernie.xtf to the xodash folder first, and xbox.xtf second, as instructed in the readme.
It still boots under the modchip fine, as I left my evoxdash.xbe in place. However, with the modchip off, it just boots to a black screen.
I'm guessing my problem is that I only had 300mb free on my C drive apart from the standard files, so couldn't fit the shadowc folder in there... so I put that on the E drive
I'd appreciate any tips on where I'm going wrong
Cheers, Bruce

Hi,
did you ftp a dashboard to the proper location? I think E:\dash\default.xbe is what the softmod is looking for. (upon a few other locations and dash names)
If you move the shadowc to the E partition, you need to change the nkpatcher as well. You could disable the shadowc by adding a shadowC_off.bin file to your e:\NKP11 folder or to the root of your e partition.
Are you able to boot into the softmod with the power button? The eject button normally boots into the M$dash on the shadowc drive. Since yours doesn't work.... regards.

Thanks! Not sure if your tip helped, or doing a 'basic' Ndure install, or using the 'generic' kernel... but something worked
It boots with an orange LED at high fan speed, but it boots

Hi,
led color is a matter of personal favour. It was changed to Orange to give a clear indication that the softmod is running. So, the normal meanings of the colors are no longer valid.
I think you can adjust the fan speed with a file called FAN.BIN in the e:\nkp11 folder. The topic came up on this forum already.
