welt that was a no go. I got the file and checked the md5, all was good. I burned it to cd-r (verbatim, imation) and no go, then tried dvd-r verbatim, no go. Then dvd+r tdk, no go. Tried again burning at slower speed and nothing. I can tell after the mssplash it looks real hard at the disk and looks like it wants to do something but quickly flashed the " 21, service required.
Any other ideas??? I'm still squarring this site as well for options.
Thanks.

NOTE: I just read about the AID, found the AID 3.10 and will give that a try and see what happens
-
welp, the AID will not boot either....21 service required.....
guess it wont boot, any other ideas?
I thougt the auto installers made sure this all worked, or is their other stuff needed to be done to get it to work?

boot to xbox live dash with eject and when the xbl dash boots, place the dvd in the drive..
-
You can hotswap again and install with the "option 2".. After installation, delete shadowc.img file from C drive with the xbrowser.
-
press LT+RT+back+start and that should boot you to unleashx dash.. from there; delete C:\xboxdash.xbe
-
ok great that worked, however there are two xboxdash.xbe files there, different sizes.
One is 1,916KB
and the other is 1,881KB
Bothe have the exact same time stamp. Should I delete the both of them or just pick one?

there shouldnt be two xboxdash.xbe.. I think you dont have shadowc activated.. you could delete C:\shadowc\shadowc.img or delete xb0xdash.xbe file ( notice the 0 instead of o)
-
to replace dash, copy the xbmc folder in the xbox's E drive. make sure default.xbe is in the folder.. rename dash folder to something else like "dash2" and rename xbmc folder to "dash". To install applications, copy them to app folder.

fantastic, it works. Thanks for all the guidance King!
