Ok i read through most tuts and its little bit confusing for me. Let me run thru on how i think its supposed to be done
1.Get eeprom and backups ( i use evox and get backup like that)
2. FTP into xbox with softmod and get all TDATA & UDATA (optional)
3.Get xboxhdm from usual places
4.Get compatible hard drive (i have 1)
5. Copy C:\ (it wont show up in FTP so i will use slayers ) into xboxhdm
6. Put appropriate files in appropriate folders in xboxhdm
7. Make iso file and burn
Heres where i get confused
8. Put new hdd in primary channel as master and unplug all other drives, cept cd drive in secondary to boot from
Do i unlock the new hdd now? ( and if so with what? the stock hard drives eeprom)? or a different way ?
9. Then go to xboxhdm, hit 3, type xboxhd
10. it will show the new hard drive and you type yes
11. Hit 1 ( rebuild hdd from scratch)
12. Wait and then reboot back into xboxhdm, hit 3(dos tools w/ hd unlock tools), type xboxhd and type yes
13. Then type 2 ( rebuild c drive) and it will rebuild from what is on disk
14. Reboot
15. Type Install F Drive and hit yes ( i want f drive my hdd is 30gb)
16. AT THE END I LOCK IT ? Boot into xboxhdm, hit 3, type lockhd
The thing i dont understand with this locking stuff is at first how do i unlock my new drive, with eeprom from stock drive?
Then at end how do i lock new drive, do i need eeprom? or do i use the same one for unlocking?\
I know that this is confusing so repley back if need more details.
