Title: Xbmc As Dashboard On Krayzie's 1.0

Sorry but another question that probably is answered in numerous posts but is really confusing me and I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

I have XBMC set as my dashboard and am softmodded with Krayzie's Ndure 1.0. I use an old version that was released near the beginning of the year just before they made a change that involved installing it differently. With all the later releases, the documentation concerning installation as a dashboard involves using a shortcut tool. I am confused as to whether this applies to softmodded Xboxs, hardmodded XBoxs or to both.

I would like to install the newer Xbox 2.xxxx version. Can I just drop this into the Krayzie's Extras new dashboard folder and install it in the usual way or do I need to use this shortcut tool?
