Try this...
Get the Krayzie Extras
Remove Dual Boots.
Then try reinstalling Dual boot. It myt work.....
-
you should be able to boot burned games , boot disk. Install ms dash in shadowc and set up the time.
-
The one like krazye's. But dont install any bios or anything. Include xbox dashboard in there, copy the dashboard to shadowc.
-
Just FTP it to E:\Apps.
-
Load the boot disk, run E:\ndts\default.xbe ( using file browser). Now delete, C:\shadeowc\shadowc.img. That should get rid of the black screen. But before you do that, after it loads to to black screen, try an IGR ( LT+RT+BACK+START). If it boots to unleashx, run E:\ndts\default.xbe and delete C:\shadowc\shadowc.img. Problem is , nkpatcher is trying to fix teh clock but it cant find proper ms dash to fix teh clock.
-
here is quick fix for the clock
http://forums.xbox-s...&...t&p=3373284
and NP's findings
http://forums.xbox-s...&...t&p=3383088
but it sounds like there is more the one problem
old tommy DVD drive's dont like CD-R's at all
-
you can boot cd-rw and dvd+-r/rw. Quickest way is to delete the shadowc.img file. You can also hotswap and delete the shadowc.img file.

what is the easiest way to disable clock check? Can you explain it to me a little more? It seems like the best and least complicated out of all 4. I'm not sure, but I think its mainly just this one problem because the xbox was running fine before I unplugged it.
ok then
to disable clock check you would have to recompile NKpatcher
OR
use the runtime config file in the root of E:\ with clock check off
BUT the easiest thing is to hex edit the ernie.xtf in C:\xodash and replace it
then if ever it is unpluged and the MSdash is not working, wait 15 sec
then reboot and it will pass the clock check
BTW the clock check is a nice feature if you xbox stays unpluged most of the time
as some game dont work corectly if the time is not set
-
Ok I got it to load to the dashboard now (with an IGR). I ran E:\ndts\default.xbe but I can't see the shadowc.img file in C:\shadowc folder after going to File Explorer.
-
Good
FTP the shadowc.img (from the NDURE 3.0 pkg) to it then reboot
then C:\ drive should be blank (don't use NDTS) fill it with a orig MSdash
-
QUOTE
So then the MSdash will load with the eject button and UnleashX will load with the power buttong right?
when all the files are correct but it sounds like there is still somthing wrong with the files
as long as you can FTP using the NDTS or a gamesave you can replace the real C:\
xbins does not host the MSdash files
maybe you should start over with the NDURE-3.0 PC installer and get the MSdash files from Slayers2.6
when your all ready there should be 496MB(520,784,314 bytes) 243 files 36 folders in the C:\ folder on your PC
if the count is incorect please someone corect it, as the files i have are some what old

As xman954 stated, it's not included in NDURE, and it's not in the Usual Place, but it should be included as an update on plenty of recent games. It's also on Slayer's Disc.

I have ftp access now so is it possible to just clear the C drive files on FlashFxp on the xbox and add the new Ndure 3.0 files right onto it?
thats what i would do WHEN i know i have ALL the files NEEDED to install to C:\ (i use a "master C:\ image" to softmod, allways works for me)
when you get slayers2.6 it will be a X-ISO so extract the MSdash files from it
-
I got Slayers 2.6 now and extracted it. Sorry if im being annoying by asking so many questions, but which files are the MSdash ones I need (from Slayer's),and where do I put them, I have created the Ndure 3.0 folders (C and E) again on my PC. By the way, so far the C drive is 364 MB, 37 Files, 18 Folders. Am I on the right track so far? Again, sorry for the nooby questions and thanks so much for the patience.
-
you take the files from "system\all\c".
Create a folder called C. Now put the C drive files in there. Lets say you have a folder called TEST and created a folder "C" inside TEST folder. Now, in ndure installer, sleect your desired components and as a destination choose the folder TEST. That woud take care of everything.
-
yah the numbers are right.. Now if you install using xboxhdm installer, use option "2" ( replace C drive)
-
QUOTE
Now if you install using xboxhdm
you can use FTP after running the NDTS

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
it will look like what your going to put on it but with the shadowc and other files where they need to be
(if you see C:\shadowc folder on your xbox then your there, may not need to run NDTS)
the test is when you reboot....
QUOTE
what I do to get the new C drive on the xbox?
this is a little scary, FTP ????
-
QUOTE
so NDTS is almost like a dashboard running through the E drive and you use that to get ftp access instead of the normal dashboard because you are going to delete that correct?
not realy, just wanted to make sure you were working with the REAL C and not the shadowC but not having a shadowC.img you must be on the real C
QUOTE
get rid of them
yes, then FTP the new files without rebooting or a power outage LOL
-
Just a quick note, when I went to file explorer on my xbox, it said the C drive was 496MB, shouldn't that mean I have all the files already?
-
yes, you have all msdash files+modded files+shadowc. When you upload to xbox, just make sure that earnie.xtf file is uploaded before xbox.xtf. If you batch upload ( just drah all the files using ftp) then it should ftp client should auto upload earnie.xtf before xbox.xtf.
-
thats good too, just make sure in xodash folder you upload earnie.xtf file before xbox.xtf ( very important )..
-
Ok, I got all the new files uploaded and old ones are gone. Only thing is that it said x2onlinedash.xbe and
xonlinedash.xbe failed to transfer, but all the rest were ok. UnleashX does work when i turn on the xbox but I think something is wrong the the MSdash because i get error 21 when I turn the xbox on with the eject button. Is it because of the 2 files above or something else?
Thanks
-
delete filler1.img in C:\shadowc folder an dtry copying those files again. and make sure you copied xb0xdash.xbe in C:\
-
if you load deafult.xbe inm ndts folder then it should disable shadowc ( just like you ftp'd earlier).. I dont know if thiswill fix error 21 ( most likely will if all other files were uploaded correctly)..

Ok i deleted filter1.img and x2onlinedash.xbe uploaded fine, but xonlinedash.xbe failed again. And do I need to upload filter1.img back on or can i leave it?
-
xonlinedash.xbe is needed more than x2onlinedash.xbe, delete x0nlinedash.xbe then upload xonlinedash.xbe and x2onlinedash.xbe. You can upload filler1.img if you can but not needed.

Thanks I got them both on now after deleting x0nlinedash.xbe.
One other thing, for the error 21/MSdash problem, I turned on my xbox to UnleashX and pressed MS Dashboard, but it said "Error, unable to launch C:/xboxdash.xbe, fle does not exist." I ftped in and there was a file called C:/xboxdash.xbe, could there be a problem with the file?
EDIT: I just tried to turn it on with the eject button and it goes to xbox live dashboard
Thanks
