Title: Some Original Games Wont Lode On A Softmoded Xbox

Hey guys somes games wont even load with the original disc  in the tray with my softmodeed xbox, I used the UDE1/UDE2 Installer

evox, PBL meToo, metoo M8 bios

for example I put in the madden 2005 disc and nothing happens I get the xbox screen,

I have cleared the cache X,Y,Z. Updated to a newer bios

I have run out of Ideas, somebody suggested to me that I need to upgrade the xbox to the newest dash for it to work, I dont know if thats true or not but before I find out myself I thought I would ask...

Do you mean the game isn't loading automatically or it isn't loading when you try to launch it?

If it's not loading automatically, use the launch DVD option in evox. Otherwise, I'm not sure what could be wrong with it.

The game wont boot automatically when I put it in the drive and power off and then power on

Sounds more like your Xbox isn't reading the disc. When you put the game into the DVD drive, what does it say is in your DVD-ROM (D drive) in Evox? If it doesn't say game, then your Xbox isn't reading the disc properly.

What DVD drive do you have?
What bios are you running?

I believe I have the notorious thompson.... (could be wrong) but I believe that the disc does show up in evox (game disc)  this is on a softmoded xbox with the metoo m8 1.4 version bios

It can't have anything to do with the softmod. It's a broken Xbox that happens to be softmodded.

The drive would be the first thing I'd check. What's probably happening is this:
* You boot the Xbox with the game in the drive
* The drive is flaky, and occasionally has problems reading. This time it doesn't work.
* The softmod boots
* You load it in EvoX, and load it. The drive is flaky, and occasionally has problems reading. This time it works.

This is a problwem that occurs not on just one xbox but 3 that I have softmoded...

Softmod being softmod means it comes AFTER the DVD boot sequence. So if your DVD cannot boot, it must be something else. bad media or whatever.

I had this problem with Madden '05 and fixed it by clearing everything out of the cache.  Then it would play fine.

Oh, if you haven't set the time on the Xbox, it may cry about that too. Try setting the time.
