Title: Matrix Bios Question
Post by: Idlehand on December 04, 2004, 05:08:00 PM
I have a Matrix install on a 1.0. I havnt done much to it since I got it a while back. I am currently using 4976.02 on my chip and noticed that the later vers of the bios disables the eject reset feature. Now my question is if thats the case how do I disable the mod then? or am im missing something? any info will be a great help

Well your not missin much but xbox live disable that was the only reason I upgraded.  But that is a point and it is very hard to make a desision on upgrading if you need the eject to switch between the onboard and the matrix bios.  I would venture to say if you have the 4976.02 bin file and wanted to try the 4983 with the eject trick installed with the x2 config then that might be what you would want.  Also the iND-bios 5003 is the best bios out right now.

im actually perfectly happy with the ver I have but Ive been using Avalaunch as my main dasboard. and the newer vers like to freeze on startup. so I figured it prolly has somthing to do with the bios. Im also going to looking in to that other bios and check it out.

You are correct that bios does not to freeze on stuff.  In evox I have done this on every system I have had at my desposal.  Take and run Evox then box explorier and then hit the black button on the joystick and evox will load back up and freeze.  that is with the x2 4976.
