yes

OK smile.gif

Service Error 07 - HDD Timeout

You either didnt connect the HD right OR maybe its not locked correctly? However, that should be error 06 smile.gif

Error 7 is hdd timeout.  That is bad..  It usually means the hdd is dead.  If that is the case, unless you have your eeprom data you will need to atleast borrow a modchip to use your xbox again..  Once you have your eeprom contents you can relock a new hdd with the proper code and use it without a chip.
Edit:  Did it ever boot after installing the exploit?

seems wierd as all i did was add the fonts and the evox dash, rename the old fonts.

So what can I do?

Whats the point of back up mode in hd loader if you cant access HD again to restore?

If the hdd is still alive then you could restore it.  Unless you misplaced jumpers, or damaged your IDE cable though I think you got problems..

so you saying I need a chip?

naaa, you may need a new HD but I have no idea how you messed up?

Few ideas?

- Did you place the jumpers back to "Cable Select"
- Have you double checked the IDE cable?
- Have you double checked the POWER cable?
- Does your PC still pick the drive up? If so, it should be alive?

And

- SURE you locked it right? Even though this would be error 06 you never know..

Only if the hdd is dead and you don't have the eeprom data..  Keep trying the hdd..  Its strange that you could hotswap and move data around and kill it after the fact.

what?????????

As long as you have an eeprom and C and E backup you can "make" a new HD if your old one is dead smile.gif

Even if you dont have the C and E you wont be %100 screwed.. the eeprom data is all you really need so you can make a "lockable" HD...

But dont rush into anything, test out what I said...

How come you think this is font hack related? Maybe you just did a bad hotswap or something.

Error 7 is completely unrelated to the UDE exploit.  Its a hardware issue.  Either you hooked things up badly or destroyed your drive.  UDE does work like a charm when its setup right.

no no no smile.gif

its nothing to do with the font hack, its your Hard Drive that has a problem, this is a hardware issue not software (sort of)

You have either not changed your HD jumpers back to CC

OR

Not plugged it in right, either power or IDE

OR

The HD died when you did the swap, which is RARE, how old is your xbox? It cant have just broken?

Just get the thing back on your PC and tell us if you can use HD loader again to see the files.. if THAT works then you "should" be fine! As your HD is still alive...

One last question, which tutorial did you use to do this?

8MM, Tried plugging it back into the PC?  What does it have to say about the drive?
