Title: Chameleon Problems - Lots Of Questions

Hello,
Ok, I have a couple of questions that I have looked for with no help to so if anyone could help me out that would be appreciated.  Here we go. Ok I want to upgrade my bios since I dont remember what I have in my box right now. I would like to upgrade the HDD and be able to play online. The problem is that I did something to my box and I dont know how to fix it. Right now I am not able to upload anything to by box via FTP

Also I tried upgrading the bios by the setting the chip to MODE 1. But whenever I do this , while in the cromwell bios screen it says to change the switches to MODE 1 and reboot.  What the heck did I do, and how can I fix it so I can have the chip be able to turn on and off so I can play LIVE.

The cromwell is to flash the bank.  I think you switched banks and not modes but if you want to flash your chip then all you have to do is this.  Take a brand noew cd-rw and burn some mp3s and a 256k bin file called bios.bin and take that file for the x2-4983.67.bin and just rename it and burn it on the cd-rw.  Then put that cd-rw in while in the cromwell stuff.

but what about not being able to upload any files to my xbox. Did I mess somthing up in my evox.ini?

once you do this it will make the xbox ftpable again or you will have to make a evox bootable disc if it does not come up with evox after you have flashed the chip.

I thought the name of the bios has to be linuxbios.bin or something like that.

Yea your correct sorry you have to do that not the bios.bin.  I gues I have done to many different mod installs I get them mixed up.

Ok well I flashed the rom and seemed like everything works ok; but now, my cd drive cannot read disks and when I boot up my xbox the MS text appears on the bootup animation but it goes to my unleash dashboard.

Ok what bios did you flash it with.  Not all the bioses out there have excuteer or matrix the m8's have MS in them still I think.

ifyour dvd drive will not read discs check the type some will only read dvd-r and sammies will read cd-r's and dvd-r's thompsons will not read cd-r's
