After waking up from a dream, I got this idea which maybe is impossible, but just throw it out there in case some smart folks with the knowledge think it worth trying.
In this document (http://xbox-linux.or...tboverview.html) there is no mentioning of DVD player hack. Is it possible that the default player has some sort of problem that can be taken advantage of (especially for those user with DVD dongle and remote)? The benefit (if it works) is that people can put exploit content as well as other programs on the same disk, and the disk doesn't need to be special signed or dual layer.
By the way, my dream was this. After I poured some sort of liquid on my 007AUF DVD, it was damaged and couldn't boot. There is still no solution to boot my xbox with new kernels 5713 direct into homebrew code. So I tried to seek another original game that can be exploited but failed. Since I managed backed up the DVD image somehow I don't remember how (Do you?). So I went to buy one of those very new and expensive dual layer DVD burners. Finally got one. But after trying to burn the image, it just won't work! Then I woke up.
Anyway, there are the benefits to have inventory of software exploits kept secrete against new lines of xbox, preventing m\s cut them off at once. Just hope a strong inventory is available.
