Before you start
If you are a noob, and want to know what the 2 exploits ARE and how they work, read this:
What are the Font and Audio Exploits?
Its a little bit of text I wrote to get you started...
AND, take a look at:
Checklists For Fonts/audio Exploits
Another cool guide with some info so you dont mess up..
WARNING!
Changing the files on your Xbox hard drive is dangerous and in some cases could lead to you totally messing up your games console, leaving you with a large unattractive paperweight!! Make sure you know what you are doing before attempting any of the following.
Ensure to back up your entire C drive as soon as you get FTP access to your xbox. Back it up to your PCs hard drive AND a CDROM just in case. You may need it at some point to "re-virginize" your xbox
What will I need?
- Mechassault/007 Agent Under Fire ORIGINAL Games.
- A Memory card with the hacked game save, this can also be done using a Hard Drive hot swap.
- Morden's Audio Package Files (v3)
- Catfish MA Fonts
- My Modified "Font Swapper" Action Script
- Dashboard version 4920
What will this do?
It will install Mordens Audio package and then use a script that allows you to enable-disable the wonderful Catfish-MA fonts. This will change then your xboxs "XBOX LIVE" Tab to say "PHOENIX" once selected this will Run MXM from Mordens package.
Once installed you will need to upload an MXM script that will enable-disable the fonts/audio.
Why use Morden's?
Because its great, its clean, simple and works! I have tried other "installers" but none work as flawlessly as this one. Catfish did a good job with his, but I wasnt a fan, it took me a long while to get all the files together and in the end I gave up and did this
So how does it work?
Once the Fonts are enabled the tab will say "PHOENIX" and you will be able to use Ripped Audio, also the activation is a simple one button press
Once the Fonts are disabled the tab will return to the original Xbox-live, but and you will NOT be able to use Ripped Audio etc. To enable the hack you need to do a key combo on your game pad that basically tries to copy a hacked Audio Soundtrack.
Why should I do this?
Because its the "Best of Both worlds".
What do you mean?
I mean, the Audio package is great! But ripping audio and custom soundtracks are a pain! Even with Mordens hard work. Also, it hurts your fingers having to do the button presses every time..
The Fonts too are amazing, the Xbox Linux team really had a smart idea by replacing the "XBOX LIVE" tab. But the Clock Loop can still rear its ugly head! If you ever want to move house or unplug your Xbox for a few hours then its just SAFER to switch them off
Also, you may want to use XBOX LIVE someday
and there are ways around the dreaded "Dash Upgrade"
Also, you don't HAVE to do this, if you want safety then stick with Morden's Audio Hack, its great. But some people just want a little more.
OK, Getting started.
First step, the FILES!
Before you start read THIS and learn how to use xbins. Its basically an IRC channel/FTP site that has all the goods. You will need to go there to get Morden's Audio Hack v3.
For information how to use Xbins click see this page:
The other files you need are the Catfish Fonts, these can be downloaded from:
see the post by Catfish at 02-04-2004 11:46 AM
EDIT: Big thanks to Catfish for modding his fonts to make this a lot easier
NOTE: This file also includes a new more stable ST.DB file, if you wish to use it simply upload it to your xbox overwriting the origional one from Mordens package, more about this later...
AND, finally, the Font-Swapper actionscript, this can be found:
I will also post this as a message on the forum so you can simply copy/paste into notepad and save as an *.xas file.
Once you have Morden's Package you need to get it onto your Xbox and Run it from either MechAssault OR 007:AUF.
Getting the hacked gamesave onto your Xbox.
This can be done using a memory card and some kind of "Action Reply" device, this is a device that lets your PC read Xbox memory cards.
It can also be done with a "HOT SWAP" of your Xbox hard drive, basically placing your Xbox HD on your PC for a shot time so you can copy the files.
Here are some tutorials to help with creating an Action Reply device:
And some for Hot Swapping:
- http://forums.xbox-s...ST&f=45&t=73720 (Ignore the install evox part in this one)
Personally I made a USB-Xbox cable for my PC, it was simple. Read the thread about it here. It allows me to use my controller on my PC AND Copy gamesaves that I download.
Once the GameSave is on your Xbox its as simple as:
- Loads Mechassault/007
- Select the gamesave from the menu
- MXM will load!
BACK UP YOUR C DRIVE
Now you have FTP access to your Xbox back up your entire C drive. Back it up to your PCs hard drive AND a CDROM just in case. You may need it at some point to "re-virginize" your xbox
!DO NOT MISS OUT THIS STEP!
!NO REALLY - DO NOT MISS OUT THIS STEP!
!It has got ME out of a few problem situations in the past!
Installing Morden's Audio Package v3
Again, this is simple. With MXM running, press B to go to the "Audio Package" menu and select "Install Audio Package" that is that, done
BUT, in this case, we need to do a little more don't turn off your Xbox just yet!
Uploading/Installing the fonts
First of all unzip the Fonts.zip file you downloaded before. You should have 2 files. bert.xtf and ernie.xtf
ernie is quite fat at 15mb!
NOW! Rename both fonts to bert.bak and ernie.bak
We then need to FTP these files to your xbox
If MXM is running, you should have FTP access to your xbox. Again there are a number of ways to do this, basically you need your PC connected to your xbox in some way.
If you need to know how to get FTP access here are some tutorials:
- http://www.lanceande..._xbox_guide.pdf (Same as the other but in PDF)
You can FTP to your xbox using its IP address and "xbox" as username and password.
Once you have this sorted, FTP the 2 font files to the "Fonts" folder in the "C" drive of your xbox, it SHOULD already have 2 files named "Xbox.xtf" and "Xbox Book.xtf" inside, do NOT rename these, in fact, don't touch them at all
Now, this next part is VERY IMPORTANT!
Here we are going to COPY the P.xbe file in E:\PBL and rename it to simply "P" with NO FILE EXTENTION.
To do this, download the P.xbe file to your PCs hard drive, rename it, then upload it BACK to the E drive.
NOTE: At this point you can upload the more stable ST.DB file from the Catfish file merge.zip that we downloaded before. To instal this upload it to: E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.db overwriting the ST.DB already in place. Note that if you DO this, you will no longer NEED the P.xbe file, HOWEVER I suggest you keep it in place for safetly.
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS?
This becuase this is the file the FONTS will boot from
ALSO, while you are at it, you could speed up the way PBL loads, have a read of this thread:
http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=192890
OK, time to ensure you have done the following:
- Installed Morden's Audio Hack v3
- FTPed the bert.bak and ernie.bak catfish fonts to c:\fonts on your Xbox
- Copied the P.xbe and renamed it to "P" with no file extention
Now, reboot and ensure the audio hack is properly installed and working. To do this go through this process:
- Boot Xbox without any CD in the DVD Drive.
- Select Music
- Hit Down-A-DOWN-A-Right-Right-A-A-A
- MXM should boot.
If not! Doh! you failed, try re-installing the audio hack, if it worked
great!
Now, you have FTP access as long as MXM is running. Connect to your box, using the IP address and "xbox" as username and password.
Installing the "Font Swapper" actionscript
- Unzip the fontswapper.zip file
- Make a folder on your xbox in the folder e:\mxm\ called "scripts"
- Now, upload the FontSwapper.xas file to this new folder
- You should now have FontSwapper.xas in the folder e:\mxm\scripts on your xbox
NEXT! - Modding your menu.xml file
MXM uses XML for its menu system, if you would like to know more about this check the MXM forum it is full of excellent information.
In the MXM folder of Morden's you should find a file called menu.xml, open it in notepad
Now copy this code into it:
| QUOTE |
<item> <title>Font Hack Switch</title> <action>Callfile e:\MXM\Scripts\FontSwapper.xas</action> </item>
|
Then save the file and upload this to your xbox, overwriting the OLD version. Now, press Y in MXM, select "Reset menu cash" and then re-boot MXM.
Running the scriptNow simply select the "Font Hack Switch" option in your MXM menu.
Once this is loaded it should tell you if your fonts are disabled or enabled

they should be
"DISABLED"To enable or disable them simply follow the options on screen
Its all workingOnce you have them enabled, re-boot the xbox, and "XBOX LIVE" should say "PHOENIX" you should also be able to rip audio and do all the things a standard Xbox can do except for select XBOX LIVE.
To run MXM select PHEONIX press A and smile
Now....If you want to take your Xbox on holiday, i.e. it will be "without power" for a good few hours, then ENABLE the audio hack until you arrive and have power again.
No more worries about the clock loop.
No more hassle with the GameStub.
Less tired fingers for gaming

Hope this helped some people. If it didn't, sorry
This is the FontSwapper file if you want to copy and paste into notepad:

Did you copy and re-name the Fonts to .bak before you uploaded them? And did you copy and rename the PBL folder?

YES, they are the MA fonts but modded by Catfish...
Has anyone got this running?
I know from experience that its always different for some people

This looks to see if you have the bert.bak or bert.xtf file in your fonts folder.
If you have bert.bak then the fonts are "DISSABLED" so when you upload the files as .bak files and then run the script it will say it is "DISSABLED"
Turning on the fonts:
| QUOTE |
:Turnon Rename "c:\\fonts\\Xbox.xtf" "c:\\fonts\\Xbox.bak" Rename "c:\\fonts\\Xbox Book.xtf" "c:\\fonts\\Xbox Book.bak" Rename "c:\\fonts\\bert.bak" "c:\\fonts\\bert.xtf" Rename "c:\\fonts\\ernie.bak" "c:\\fonts\\ernie.xtf"
delete E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.db RENAME E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.or E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.db |
The code above renames your hacked fonts to .xtf files and your origional fonts to .bak this enables the font hack and changes "XBOX LIVE" to "PHEONIX"
Also it deletes your ST.DB file, this should be your hacked one from Morden. It then renames your ORIGIONAL audio file to ST.DB this gives you back your soundtracks etc.
Turning off the fonts:
| QUOTE |
:Swap Rename "c:\\fonts\\Xbox.bak" "c:\\fonts\\Xbox.xtf" Rename "c:\\fonts\\Xbox Book.bak" "c:\\fonts\\Xbox Book.xtf" Rename "c:\\fonts\\bert.xtf" "c:\\fonts\\bert.bak" Rename "c:\\fonts\\ernie.xtf" "c:\\fonts\\ernie.bak"
RENAME E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.db E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.or COPY E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.hk E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\st.db |
The fonts are again re-named, back to their origional states, this gives you back your VIRGIN xbox Dash

It also renames your ST.DB to back it up for when you turn the fonts back ON and it re-installed the hacked .DB file from Mordens.
If you have script problemsLook in these folders:
c:\fonts\
and
E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\
And make sure the correct font and audio files are their with there correct filenames.
Remember if the fonts are OFF they will be named bert.bak and ernie.bak and if the audio hack is on you will have 3 files in your music directory: ST.DB, ST.HK and ST.OR.
When the fonts are ON you will have bert.xtf and ernie.xtf in your fonts folder and ST.DB and ST.HK in your music folder.
Now, it was pretty late when I wrote this

so any feedback would be great.
REMEMBERYou can always just FTP in and delete the bert and ernie fonts if you have any problems.
Also, if you wanna be safe back up your E:\Tdata\fffe0000\music\ folder before you enable the fonts, this means you can just FTP this back in to make Mordens work as normal
u can still make a package just make an e folder and a c folder as most of us already hav ftp access and for those who dont mech, splinter, auf will do it.
good job by the way
u know what would be the best of both worlds and i know it cant be done,
if u power the xbox on from the eject button it boots up the font exploit that way can put ur unsign disc in no dity disc error.
if u use the power button to boot up it does it the audio way that way u can go on live.
P.S i know this cant b done just sayying it would b cool

Well, to me a "Package" is something that is a little easier to instal!
I guess I could create a C and E folder and Zip them up, as long as Morden and Catfish are ok with it..
We will see I suppose
so with this you dont get any of the clock loop errors or any other? can u leave it unplugged for any periiod of time? can u eject with this and play backups from a dvd?

| so with this you dont get any of the clock loop errors or any other? |
No, its %100 safe as long as you turn off the fonts when you feel the need to unplug your xbox from the mains. Or if you want to use xbox live.
Now, small problem is people seem to be getting banned from live with larger HDs so M$ could be scanning HDs, but we arnt sure yet.
| QUOTE |

YES! As long as you go into the menu and disable the fonts. Then once plugged back in, re-enable the fonts

| QUOTE |

You can do anything you like! Anything any normal exploit can do.
So what your saying is that everytime before you power off you will take and click the "change" button on a dashboard to change from the fonts hack to an audio hack... then the next time you use it the very first time you boot the audio hack youll click the "change" again to put the font hack back into place?
Im assuming you would only do this of course for transport reasons, otherwise it seems like ALOT of work.
Wooger
I have something similar to this using Mordens v1 and the MechInstaller Feenix Fonts in EvoX and it works great. I also have a "Turn off both" feature which sets the Xbox back to retail. I don't need to use it though as the Fonts get out first time on my machine... but it's there and useful.
Is it possible to use or convert your script/installer to work with Mordens 1.2?
...Basically I prefer EvoX, so if theres another workaround to keep this I would be interested.
there are also scripts around for renaming fonts and st.db in evo-x. Do some searching.

1: Do you have music on your xbox? Have you ripped any in the past?
If so and its not showing up the ST.DB file you have may be "stuck" in its hacked state. I had this problem a while ago, I had to FTP the music folder completely delete the ST.DB and ST.or (not the ST.hk) re-boot and re-rip an audio CD.
This wil make a FRESH ST.DB file, however any old songs will not be on this

just delete the .wma files from the folders in the music folder and start again.
I think this happens when you use Mordens "re-install hacked ST.DB" file at the wrong time or something? It was a mystery? But that sorted it..
2. Are you sure about this? As long as it boots whats the problem

I think the fonts cause this, sometimes my xbox seems to take longer to boot.
Hope this helps
i checked my music folder and there is no st.db file. only st.hk do i have to start all over?
| QUOTE |
| i checked my music folder and there is no st.db file. only st.hk do i have to start all over? |
Thats good

simply rip an audio CD, any CD will do and the xbox will "make" you a new clean UNHACKED one

This will then be saved as ST.or when you turn the fonts OFF and the audio ON.
and when you turn it back, it will be renamed to ST.DB and your audio will come back

Also, you never said if you had ripped songs before? If so, im sorry

they wont be in the new file BUT they will still be on your xbox as .wma files, check the folders on the music dir...
ALSO, now you can rip audio use this tool

Mordens package makes one, if you followed the steps it SHOULD have worked?
Unless Mordens ONLY makes one if you run the gamestub? hmmm?
I will look into this, anyone else with problems, post them!
I have modified the originals to point to E:\pbl\p.
This was done to encourage the use of the stable swapless audio exploit (included with the fonts).
Copy E:\pbl\p.xbe to E:\pbl\p
They come in mechinstaller format or decompressed for FTP install.

Thank you!!
I will update the tutorial with new links to the new files and cut out that bit about copying the PBL folder
NOTE: Users still have to rename the P.xbe file to simply P with no file extension. I reccomend they leave both files in place as Mordens v3 still relies on this file.

| you made an installer for this yet? |
I am working on a simple one with C and E folders, as long as you have FTP access it should be ok, you see the fonts uncompressed do not fit on a memory card

Would something like this be ok for everyone?
EDIT: OK, I have been thinking of the best way to do this, may work on it this weekend.
I have 2 options:
Option 1: - you will need MAPackage together Mordens v3 and the new Catfish Merge file.
I could even hack Mordens package a little so it uses the new more stable ST.DB and installs PBL as simply "P" without the file extension, I would probably use PBL 1.4 as well for the 1.5 people out there.
Also, I would place a link to the font swapper script in the menu.xml
This would then mean you would have to:
Get gamesave onto HD.
Install Mordens > FTP Upload fonts & script > re-boot > boot Mordens, switch on Fonts > Reboot. The end.
Option 2: - you just need FTP accessSimple instructions on where to place all the files.
Basically 2 folders one called C one called E with MXM/PBL/The ST.DB in E and the fonts in C.
Then again, this may be the best option for everyone. It would just mean FTPing all the files in manualy.

Good idea? I think option 2 would be the best for everyone as its simple and I dont have to hack Mordens work

It is after all very complex stuff!

Maybe I should adapt my upcoming package installer to include this (or adapt the script since the mech fonts i use have the xft extensions).
But I do have 1 question.... in the middle of the script when it "turns-off" the fonts and copies the audio hack back in OR when it "turns-on" the fonts and disables the audio hack why are you doing delete's and copies instead of renames?
(Not a big deal just curious why)

Though puzzling in mordens scripts to install the hack i dont see a backing up of the original st.db to st.or
Wooger
Interesting to see his V3, I opened a older version a while back and it wasnt as clean as version 3.

hi there!
thanks for teh tutorial, it is working, but i got one problem here.
It must have something to do with the st.db file.
I´ve activated the fonts and it worked.
The Problem is that there are 2 possibilities.
1. can rip cd´s as normal in the ms dash after boot, but do not here any background music in mxm any more.
2. still have the hacked soundtrack in the ms dash, but can here background music in mxm wich is not apearing in the ms dash.
what is my problem? I want to rip audio as normal in ms dash, but also hear these in mxm as backgound.
Any clues?
Thanks

Hmm So let me get this right, you dont have any soundtracks in the M$ dash but music plays in the background in MXM? So you DO have music on your machine somewhere

Few Q's:
- Have you ever used Mordens GameStub feature?
- When you are in the M$ dash and go to MUSIC what do you see? The hacked soundtrack? What I mean is, can you enable the exploit from the MUSIC menu?
- Have you tried ripping any NEW audio yet?
- FTP into your music dir on your E drive, tell me what ST files you have, with fonts ON you should have ST.DB and ST.hk if you have ST.or as well try renameing that to ST.db and renaming the ST.DB to ST.old see what happens?
I have never known music to be played in MXM when you have no ripped audio in the M$ dash? unless MXM doesnt USE ST.DB and simply reads the .wma files direct from the wma folder??
Hope we can work this out!!

I think we need to remove all your audio and start again, you only have 4 tracks so thats good
remove all your music from the M$ dash.. ok? delete all your sound tracks.
then, boot MXM got to FTP and get into your music folder in E TDATA.
delete the ST.DB and ST.OR files but leave the ST.hk if it is there.
If you DO NOT have the ST.hk file, rename the ST.DB file from the Catfish merge.zip file to st.hk and uplpad that
got that
now, boot the machine, with fonts on, and rip a new audio soundtrack in the ms dash, this will re-make a proper ST.DB file
now, you should have a fresh soundtrack, if it doesnt play in MXM ensure you have MXM set up properly
now you should be ok, i hope!
also, check out this tool:

makes music on the xbox a LOT simpler...
hope this helps the Splinter Cell folk

| I reboot, select Phoenix, and it drops back to the MS dash. My audio tracks are visible. |
Hmm, are you sure you have P and P.xbe in the PBL folder?
Try this, copy the PBL folder to your PC rename it to "Phoenix" and then upload it to E, try the font hack boot, if it WORKS, you have the OLD fonts, read the thread again and make sure you have the new ones.
Other than that? I dunno? Keep trying and report back! Most people seem to fix niggles like this, you could always remove the whole thing and start over...
Hi there!
ok, here is the result of testing:
deleted all of my music (just the 4 songs and the soundtracks in ms dash after boot).
Deleted the st.db file in the music folder so that there was just the st.hk file left.
Rebooted to ms dash and made a new soundtrack with 1 song in it an named it.
Can see, play and edit this soundtrack an the file in ms dash and the soundtrack editor, but still no music in mxm.
Can´t see were i can configure the path of music in mxm and it worked with the hacked st´s from mordens v3 package.
any ideas left?
thanks

Press Y then configure, you can set up the in dash music from that

If it worked before, it should work now?
Does everything else work ok? The font script? Etc??

| is background music in mxm with mordens hack just working with the hacked db and/or with the st.or file? because when the audio hack from morden is active there is just the hacked st.db the hacked st.hk and the original st.or with the msdash sounds in it. so mxm uses the st.or for sounds? |
I belive that is correct

however, I never use music in MXM with Mordens, also, the new "package" has a non-Morden version of MXM so try replaceing your default.xbe in the MXM folder with that

Hi!
OK, my thoughts were right!
I´ve copied the st.db (original from ms dash with the soundtrack in it) to st.or and now i have the background music back!
So in fact you need 2 copies of the original ms dash st.db, one as st.db and one as st.or with the fonts activated to have music in mxm and the st.hk from morden to reactivate the audio hack.
You should update this in your script, the tutorial and the ftp package.
thanks!

Yes, after looking it up you are right.
If I were you I would simply update MXM in the package, this will cure all problems.
The reason it never dawned upon me is simply becuase I never have music in MXM anyway

I will update the tutorial to save people having the same problem, as for changing my script I am unsure, it would mean having 2 copies of the ST file and it could cause some issues.
I guess I was so busy trying to get music working in the M$ dash, I neglected MXM!
| QUOTE (tullm @ Apr 5 2004, 03:11 PM) |
Hi again,
no, why should it be a long way around to change teh script?
The basic setup mordes V3 package wich uses 3 files in music: teh hacke st.db, the hacked st.hk for restoring an the st.or for orignal ms dash and the soundtracks.
So the st.or ist needed for everyone with mordens package and switching to bobw from you! So in your script you should not rename the st.or, but copy it and rename the copy to st.db.
So everyones soundtracks used with the original audio package is there.
Or do you mean that morden has modified the mxm to look to or and not db? So we have to use an other mxm version, or I mean original mxm?
Thanks
TUllm |
YES, you are right

I was just being stupid

this would be quite simple, problem is I have already sent the file away to go on xbins
I will try and update the code so we always have an ST.OR and ST.DB that are the SAME, would have been better if I had rememberd that this is how Morden got around this problem before DOH!
Give me time, or would you all rather wait until I have my multi dash option aviliable?

The above will turn
OFF the fonts and
COPY the un-hacked ST.DB to become ST.OR, therefore in MXM ST.OR can be read

and music will play.

The above will turn
ON the fonts and
COPY the origional ST.OR to become ST.DB.
The problem here is simple.
If you RIP some audio in the M$ dash with the fonts ON, it will not work in the MXM dash until you turn the fonts off and then back on. Becuase Mordens hacked MXM will only read the old ST.OR and not the new ST.DB otherwise.
The only way around this would be to make a script that updated ST.OR everytime MXM loaded...
See what I mean about it being the long way around!
| QUOTE (Neilor @ Apr 5 2004, 03:45 PM) |
Or get the fonts to load an un-hacked MXM XBE... |
Thats the plan for the new package

But thats a while away yet!
But yeh, as long as you download the zip file in the FTP package thread then it contains a un-hacked MXM file

and the latest PBL as well..
Would be a waste of diskspace when you could just repace the default .xbe in mordens with any old unhacked MXM and it would work as normal.
The only reason Morden had to hack his MXM was to get around the inadequate way the audio hack works, with this you do not need to worry as you would be using fonts probably %90 of the time...
Anway
Is a 7mb ZIP too large for an FTP package that would contain Ava/MXM/Evox/UnleshX??? as well as a few BIOS files???
It seems like the only way, AVA is so fat! Even compressed with one skin it comes it at around 5mb!
Wrong thread.
I'll have to give credit to my friend scooter for showing me this, but if you want to install the software mod through MA/007, just put all your apps/dashboards into folders on the game save. To get this all to fit onto a memory card, visit xbox.com's site and order a (FREE!) USB adapter for a controller. This way you can connect a USB thumb drive (I use a 128mb memorex, he has a lexar) to your controller memory port and use it to store all your apps/dashboards/exploits. This is very handy for soft modding xboxes when you dont have access to a computer. Just edit the evox.ini file to copy the files over when you boot the game save.
note: you can't use the thumb drive in your PC once the xbox formats it.
http://www.xbox.com/...ardadapter.html
I need to get one myself

im in australia that sucks ass
sorry i didn't even think about that, us damn narrow minded americans

Ur a UKer? Sweet! (no offence 2 the americans, just nice to see a UK developer, this modding stuff int so popular over here I dont think)
Anyhow, thats off the point, I was just wondering if it would be possible to somehow get this package so it tries 2 boot a dash from the dvd drive FIRST, then if it dnt find that (which it wont normally) it boots ofrom the standard location. Im wondering this cause lately ive been starting to mod my tHc dash and everytime I do something rong I have to hotswap and F*ck around for ages 2 bring me xbox back 2 life (i dnt have ma or ne of those...)

I would reccomend setting up tHc as an app first, get it fine tuned and THEN do the swap to the dash..
All you need to do to make this thing boot from DVD first is mess around with the BIOS file in XBTool, you can set up 1st, 2nd and 3rd boot sequence there

Stuff you can get:
| QUOTE (Downloads) |
Packages:
- softmod lite - The Best of Both worlds package
tHc Lite Dashboard - Working Softmod Hacks:
- "tHc Lite with font hack" .xbe file - "tHc Lite with fonts on the E drive" file
|
Dont know how long it will be up, but long enuf so you can all get it and distribute anything if you like....

I knew I posted this question before!!!
The only problem is that xbtool wont let me set the first boot to the d:\, do I have an outdated version? Also, the bios im running through pbl (i dont know what it is) wont load into xbtool, so I cant edit it. Last time i tried using another bios (i did set the bfm flag) it just gave me an error....
thanks for the help
Sory for all these bloody questions...

mkjones,
Sofmode lite package has a problem with newconfig.xml. You have two extra </List> xml tags at the lines 284-285. I guess nobody tried to install it if nobody complained. He, he. Anyways, hope you will find it usefull. |
Hmm?
Many people have used it and it works? I didnt see any errors?
Il look at the code later on, see if it would cause any issues, I doubt it would..
