Title: I Need Some Help With The Softmod

I did the hotswap and got the phoenix bios working, and now when the xbox boots up instead of xlive i have phoenix.  what does the phoenix do? i want to install xbmp or xbmc anyone have any ideas on what i shoud to. by the way once im in the phoenix bois after pressing the A button i see that bios screen and thats it when i hit the a button it goes away to a black screen and that it. is something worng here?

Do you have a listing of bioses when you hit 'A' under the PBL screen?

   It boots a bios of your choice - kind of a software version of a modchip.

My advice to help would be if there are no bios files listed under pheonix then download one fron xbins - preferebly the latest x2 bfm bios. then test things out and see what happens - after the bios is loaded you are going to need a dashboard to boot into.... Do you have this as well.. If not try EvoX or MXM.
