you can make a BFM without xbtool support, you know that right? all you need to do is unpack

They exist, and xbins seems to be working right now.

so has anyone tried these with the new kernal? or with games that don't usally like the xecut2 bios (Conflict des storm 2, crimson skies, matrix ect)

I tried replacing 4977 with 4980 both BFM, and I couldn't get it to work with Phoenis BIOS loader. Anyone aware of any issue? I tried both versino of 4980 (67 and 6).

The new 4980 is no different than the 4979 except for that it disables live. So it will not fix anything.(games not working or new kernels)

OK. I got 4980 to load after upgrading the PL to 1.3.5i (internal release). However, I noticed two issues: dvd2xbox didn't work with this BIOS and the system would reset after ejecting the game. With 4977, everything seems fine. I will sticj with it for now.
