- have try the no-solder tsop flash method many times with font/evox but it always give me infinite not writable error codes so i'm guess i'm gonna stay with this font expliot 4+ever then

since then I have softmodded 3 other xbox's all with bigfonts and PBL
I have never had a single clock loop on any of the 4 xbox's (2 are mine, 2 are friends')

no problems taking my box to lans or anything. have had the font/audio exploits on my box for like 3 months now or something. no errors at all.

I've been able to run EVERYTHING FINE so far except Crimson Skies...and that was a BIOS problem (I had automatic IGR) if I didn't use PBL and SIGNED Crimson Skies with the -font key....it worked Just fine. So I guess technically everything worked

I'm not sure you should say that, it will just confuse people. UDE is completely different than all the other font hacks. It's not all of them combined (oh, how horrible would that be!)

agree, just another font hack cater for different XBE, using the exact mechanism. It is better than the previous one because update.xbe is dumb, unlike xboxdash, which is complicated. The clock loop comes from the complication.

i dont think the font exploit has been around for longer then 5 months or so.
Anyway, if you can get out of the clockloop easily now you should always get out easily.
Besides, if this mechinstallerfont thingie matures and pbl 1.4 is released we should be rid of all clock/video problems for good

bah, just the peeps with v1.4/1.5 xboxes who can use only 1 bios (d6eject-fix), the rest all give scrambled video. Phoenix booting up is scrambled no matter what bios you use.
Just a matter of waiting for new pbl version and newer bfm bioses

I would say about 3 weeks with big fonts, unplugged it a few times and even had 1 black out(first one in a LONG AS* time) and it looped a few times and booted right up.

I ran with the font exploit (bigfonts+PBL+X24977+EvoX) for a couple of months without any serious problems. No clock loops just the occassional bigfonts lockup-on-boot (solved by quickly opening and closing the disc tray).
I recently flashed my TSOP and don't plan to go back to the font hack. I don't want to have to worry about clock loops or anything. Also, the box boots MUCH faster without having to go through Ernie then PBL then the BIOS and <b>THEN</b> loading EvoX. Now it just boots EvoX directly (or if a game backup or something is in the drive, it just boots that directly).
Anyhow, font hack was a good way to start, but I wouldn't recommend it as a long-term mod solution. Buy a chip or do a TSOP flash once you realize how cool it is to have a modded box.

I've had mine for a lil over a year now.... never had any problems.... or at least none that werent my fault:) When I do leave my box unplugged for mroe than 5 hours, i never get the loop, my clock just sets the year to 8195? but thats it:)

Barbie Horse Adventures Full-DVD (CD-RW) - hehes...
All BFM bios works for me... no video problem...
Have never suffer from the real clock loop before since i have never unplugg my power cords...
Have tried big-font but it froze sometime when trying to boot to evox if there is a network cable attach to the xbox...

anyways, Here is my 2nd MONTH of doing the font expliot and it still workings fine under the suns...
New games ADDED:
Counter Strikes Full DVD (HDD) - Works perfect but you will need to sign it with xbedump -font becuase it won't work if you boot it directly with PBL, it will freeze during loading a game if you don't sign it hehes... also, make sure you delete the downloader.xbe/updates.xbe and of course that virus codename: dashupdates.xbe s...
Max Payne 2 Full DVD (HDD) - Boots perfect without signing with PBL...
