Okay added the debug true string into the boot.cfg file.

when it says setting led it has after the gggg a funny looking string. Is that supposed to be there?

nope, it shouldn't be there and may be the source of the problems.

Edit it in a reasonable editor (ultraedit etc.) and make sure there's nothing there, and try again.

btw, thanks for helping out

Well after a bit of testing it looks likely that this problem is strictly a UNIX->DOS text thing.

If you edit boot.cfg in notepad, it adds a nasty char at the end (^M I assume) of the config line which screws up the LED colors

not working at all switched back to old setup.

Now how is that a helpful comment?

WHAT doesn't work? The whole loader? the led's? etc.

What happens when it doesn't work?

would nto boot on my 4034 kernel and 4920 dash.

I'm beginning to think your avatar is more and more appropriate with each post you make.

While I appreciate the dash versions etc, you need to be more specific about "not booting" if you want anyone to help you.

Do you see the Phoenix splash screen when you try to boot?

Do you get an error 21?

What bios are you trying to load?

Are there any error messages displayed?

Which hack are you using to try to run the bios loader?

its signed. don't assume. I signed it the same way I do for all xbmp, xsnes, quake 2, doom x, and complex loader. All which work.

Which means, kiss mah fudgin' ass, go fudge yourself, fudge ya, get the fudge out, Clyde.

Im using an enigmah chip with the bios loader, In 1.0 the light stayed solid green, in 1.1 the light is now blinking.  I still have the eject on reset problem as well.  I load from evox.

Ok I edited the boot.cfg file with notepad and made sure to leave those little squares where they were. I changed to gggg.

Now the LED is solid green, but it NEVER BLINKS!

With the latest bigfonts which has LED fix, it makes the LED act normal... ie. when a disc is inserted etc. it blinks a bit while the DVD is mounting. But now with this Phoenix 1.1 it is always solid.

I would rather have it act normal.

Phoenix group should have feature to disable modification of the LED in next version, or have option so it works like stock xbox.
