Seems like nobody EVER talks about the little push button on the USB connector of the X-Chip. Is it like some secret button that'll cause the xbox to transform into like a car or something like that? ;)
Just curious what the hell that thing is for.

it is for when you want to manually boot to the default bios on your mod chip
although sometimes I wish it would transform into something....

Actually what it does is to force a boot to bank0 of the XCHIP.
This is convenient if you have your chip booting default to another bank.. like if you put Evox M8 in Bank5 and set it to boot default.
Only way to get back into the XCHIP setup menu is by pushing the button during boot.
Furthermore, if you use the Evox BIOS you can make an EEPROM recovery by holding down the button for about 5-10seconds during boot.

AH... ok, I see now. I'm going to have to mess with that. I wondered for the longest time if it was a on/off switch for the chip for something. Thanks guys!
