OMG Im goin out of my mind. Ive tried everything!! Ok, heres the deal. I have a Xbox v1.1 and I installed the xchip and im sure its working alright cause i flashed the bios and when i start my xbox using the corrisponding "on" button i see the evox on the boot screen (or executer). I have made about 6 CD's all in different formats and still nothing. I finally found and downloaded SlaYers_EvoX_Auto-Installer_v2.6_FINAL.exe. I burned the ISO and put it in my xbox and i still get the same thing Ive been getting. "Your Xbox can't recognize this disk. Make sure it's an Xbox game, DVD movie, or audio CD. Also check to see if the disk is dirty or damaged. Remove disk to continue".
What am I doing wrong?!? Or can someone please tell me an alternativ way to put a new dash on my xbox. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestion.

I have the xbox v. 1.1 and I used a maxwell cd-rw, the mistake I made was burning a regular cd with an iso, when in fact you need to choose the option to burn it as an image. SO make sure you are burning an IMAGE.

Your best bet is to use Nero to burn the image, but before you press the BURN button, there is a a option under one of the tabs called X-Box compatible, select that, and try to use a DVD-R if possible, if not you will need to experiment with CD-RW's, I've foudn verbatim work great with my thompson DVD Drive.

there's no option in my nero to select xbox compatable, which version do u have? i got enterprise edition 6

I am having the same problem. I have a 1.0 xbox and I flashed the xchip with 1.3 bios. The boot screen comes up, then goes straight to an error code 16 (I think because I have a new hard drive in there). I tried using slayer's evox, and I know i got a good one because I used the md5 hash and it matched. I can't get slayers to load to make my hard drive work!
Help!
Also, I cannot find an xbox compatible button on my NERO.

I finally got it! I had to use a Sony CD-RW with my Thompson drive. Also, do not burn the .ISO file onto a cd. Load the .ISO file in NERO and burn it.
