Allright i turn on my xbox and it says it needs an update and needs to connect to xbox live can anyone help me out with this. i think its called a clock loop or sumthin like that.

Did the problem occur just like that, or have you done something special after which the problem occured?
Is the xbox unmodded, softmodded, chipped or Tsop flashed?

Do you have an idea what version your xbox is? (This is not so important for the moment.)

The issue you describe is not a clock loop. It's usually caused by damaged dashboard files on the harddisk.

i have found out that hot swaping will fix the problem but now it wont let me read the FATX ideas?

Use Xplorer360 to view the HD in Windows.
