Title: Softmod Noob, And Yes Ive Read The Tutorial, Still Need Help

ok so i wired my controller so it works on pc, got a memory card that the pc detects and it works, but i cant open it to put files on it, its not showing up in my computer. second, do i have to download the linux installer?(im "hacking" it with splinter cell) more questions after these r answered probably....

Which tutorial did you refer to? Xbox uses a different file system from the PC: FATX hence it doesn't show up in "My Computer" in Windows. You can either use xplorer360 beta 6 or Action Replay software to transfer the game save exploits over to the memory card. Make sure you are using the Ndure softmod. For Splinter Cell, there should be 2 game saves you need to copy over and ensure you use the correct ones for your game region: either NTSC or PAL.

ok i refered to the "softmodding for absolute beginners" and ok i get how to acess the mem card now, bt Ndure? what is it?how do i use it?do the files i need come with the dl?and im ntsc

It's a bit technical but the basic idea is it hacks the ms dash via a font exploit to run unsigned code.

Look for Krayzie's Ndure. The Readme file inside the package will have all the installation procedures you need.

Either UXE or Ndure. It doesn't make sense to use both. Both are font exploits. Ndure is more recent.

The Splinter Cell game is needed. It is the means to gain unsigned code access the first time to install the softmod package like Krayzie's Ndure.

ok, but i cant find it, i can find the thread about it but there is no download link, but there is a 1.1.1 update thing, will that work? is ndure going to change the bios so its more permanent too?

Read the forum rules. You are unlikely to find anything with direct dl links here. Once installed, Ndure softmod will include a kernel patcher - Nkpatcher which performs the same actions like a modchip bios and as long as you leave the C drive files intact, the changes are 'permanent'.

The files you need are found at the 'usual' place. This is the usual reference allowed by forum rules.

lol im so confused, i got it and i have the sc files but htey r in 2 folders, save 1 and 2 and the site im looking at says extract the udata zip onto a memcard and transferr it

EDIT:GAAHHHH!!! now i cant get them on the mem card, it just says injecting file, then it doesent copy and the AR softeare says that its not a valid game save. Just to let you no im using an xbox controller rigged for the pc as my tranfer device.....
