You can put a mod chip in it or you can get an eeprom reader.

You may be able to hotswap and read the drive on the PC or your modded Xbox.

Eeprom reader is a cheap easy to build device that connects to the eeprom chip on your motherboard and will recover the eeprom key used to lock your hard drive. Once you have the eeprom you can build a new hard drive from any drive you have laying around that will lock and then lock it with that eeprom file.
