I don't know what exploit you are using, but you could try a smaller one like PBL to get it on the virgin Xbox then FTP Krazie's over when you run the game and get FTP access.

I had exactly the same problem, the way i got around it was to convert a xbox controller usb and copy the exploit from my pc to the memory card.
