I was prepping a box to put a 400 GIG HD into it. Thinking it was a 1.0 BOX, I unlocked the STOCK HD. When I went to add the 400 GIG HD I discovered, to my horror, that it was a 1.6 MB...
To further compound my moronic'ness I learned that I had not saved the eeprom.bin file. Usually I do put them on my main PC, but in this case, I simply forgot to..
So, I have a 1.6 XBOX with a matching, but unlocked, HD...
I have a DuoX2 and an old MATRIX mod chip that I can use to fix this. But, I am not real familiar with CHIP'ing a 1.6 BOX and wanted to find out if there is an alternative.

Amazing thing that SEARCH feature...
For those who have the same problem, here is the solution.
Boot up XBOX HDM, use the XBROWSER to copy the EEPROM.BIN file from the UNLOCKED HD to a Floppy, reboot XHDM into LOCK/UNLOCK mode and use the afore mentioned floppy to re-lock the HD...
