Sorry for the lack of detail in the title but I didn't know how to phrase it. Basically I wanted some help and I know this is the place to come.
Recently I have purchased some xboxes and intend on modding them without a mod chip i.e. Mech Assualt game save mod. I have got the neccessary equipment but am still not sure if I understand enough to continue with the mod. I know how to transfer the save over to the xbox, load the game, enter the evox dash and install media center etc thanks to the detailed tutorials on the net but none of them seem to have much detail on anything after the initial installation.
I wanted to know the following.
What happens to the ms dash and evo x dash, are they complete replaced for the newly installed media center dashboard?
With the media dashboard (if the ms xbox original dash isn't completely replaced) can i access the original dash and switch between the two?
What exactly can I do from the media center dashboard? I've seen pictures, read about streaming and all this but I know things aren't all they seem so I wanted to get expert advice from the guys that have messed about with the dash for some time now and know the in's and out's of it. (You (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)).
Does this dash allow me to rip games to the hard drive or do I need additional software. (I have some lockable 120GB hard drives to swap with the 8GB so space is not an issue) ?
Generally, all my questions revolve around, what do I gain from having the media center?
Sorry for the lengthy paragraphs but I wanted to be specific in the hope that I won't be wasting all of your time by asking for silly little things.

p.s. I sincerely appologise if I have just asked questions previously answered but as I am sure you understand, after a few long nights of reading through page after page searching for answers you begin to get "blurred" vision and miss things (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
p.p.s. Do I need to keep the save game (Mech Assualt -> Run Linux) on my hard drive to continue using Media center. Thanks
