Why run linux on your xbox? Just use your PC.
You won't be safe playing on Xbox Live with Linux and or XBMC installed.
XBMC has a size limit on USB hd, I think its 4gbs.
You should softmod using  Krayzie 1.1.1

I was actually trying to turn this into a cheap multimedia center for my car.  It fits just fine under the seat or in the spare tire well in the back.  4 GBs, that'd be a ton of partitions then...  So they can detect if I have Linux or XBMC installed?
