I just used krazyie ndure installer to install unleashx but for some reason unleashx will not get dhcp settings from the router despite my efforts to fix it
My solution is to install evolutionx over unleashx by resoft modding the xbox from scratch with krazyie ndure installer and splinter cell.
Is this possible?
(evolutionx works fine with my router with another xbox so i would prefer to do this than fix unleashx)

Answering my own question for reference
I went into the msdash put in splinter cell and an option pops up to return xbox to unmodded state. This ran fine and I then installed evolution with krazies ndure with splinter cell.
Hey presto network settings all detect fine with evolution

if you want to replace your dash, a much easier method is grabbing whatever dash off xbins, FTP into your E drive, delete everything in the 'dashboard' folder, and put the dash you want in there, making sure that the default.xbe is in the same place as it was. Also, make sure you're not actually in your dashbaord while doing this.. use some other app that allows ftp access. this is good if you want XBMC as your dash for instance.

you can do it from within your dashboard fine. The active dash is stored in ram and is unafected by any files you may delete.
