i don't remember if it's possible to use duel harddrives on an xbox but i'm about 85% sure you can't use a USB HDD on an xbox. data sent through the USB cord isn't as fast as data sent through an IDE cord. you'd also have a hell of a time getting your xbox to pick up the HDD. even if you somehow miraculously got it to work, your games or whatever you have on your USB HDD will lag when you use it.

you can't do duel harddrives. just plug in your stock one when you want to go on live and plug in your other one for whatever other reason you may have.

Yes you CAN have duAl hdd's, even zillions of harddrives ... make a switch and read Daddy J's comment above ;-)
(yeah yeah yeah, was feeling somewhat funny ... but still, making a switch is an option)

That really would just be a fast way to switch them but if it works OK

I installed a removable hard drive bay so I can swap drives out in seconds. I have a total of 3 drives but I am getting a 4th soon.

The Hard drive switch is super simple.. it's only 6 wires. well The way most people do it is, My switch uses 12, only because I got one that has an off position.
