Coldboot means you put in your disc,turn it off and then turn it back on....it boots directly from the CD and doesn't go to the softmod or evoX. The easiest way to get on live with a softmod is to go to the blue menu by leaving your disc tray open,then putting you disc in until it says game on the bottom right hand corner and powering off your XBOX. You then turn your XBOX on and then the game loads and you are able to go on live.
