So far you (DaddyJ) have been the most help. I could use a little more of your wisdom. I downloaded UXE both patches and fonts. Do I throw ALL the files from the 4 total zips contained in the downloads here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=281850 into the linux C folder i extracted from xboxhdm?

UXE complete doesn't contain ALL of the C drive's files. If you want to get it all then download a slayers disc and look around inside the disc for a retail C drive and put that in your xboxhdm disc

In daddyj's hotswap tutorial he uses UXE complete. Since I am following his tutorial, I would prefer to use the same software he uses.

I have tried slayers and tried to rebuild my C drive and have tried to build one from scratch with no luck.

This is the first time i am using UXE. Does anyone know what needs to be extracted and put into the Linux C drive from the fonts and patches downloads here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=281850 ?

is the UXE download here at Xbox-scence faulty cause I never get any of those options when I download it. I just get the fonts.

You need to get uxe-complete from the usual places, the UXE thread I refered to, is for making the UXE exploit from scratch.

FYI, the 'software' in UXE complete is the same as the retail C drive found inside a slayers disc. i was telling you to get it from the disc, not to use the actual disc to make an HDD from scratch. slayers is for hardmodded xboxes
