Title: Xbox Only Boots When My Finger Is On The Do Point

no seriously
there is nothing on the do point i just press it with my finger
it looks like the do trace has a bit missing
does anyone know how to fix the do trace
i cant use the alt do point because its burnt and i have repaired that
so how do i repair the top do??

doesn`t the xbox boot at all???? or....does it start (tries 2x times) and the shows you the chrismas tree (red-green-yellow led)???.....please let me know because i`m dealing with almost the same problem.....

it reboots twice than flashes red+green

If there's a piece of trace missing, I've used window defogger repair fluid to "draw" new traces, or extend broken ones.

It's available at most auto parts stores, and contains a vial of liquid that is conductive and can be used to electrically join points.  I've fried or lifted a variety of traces on my xbox and have fixed them with this stuff (then promptly covered with hot glue so they never move again!)

this is the top do

the alternate do is already repaired        

                                                                       
0-------------------------alt do--------------------------0      the alt do is burnt , ive already repaired that

can i solder a wire from the top do to the wire that jumps that alt do???
would that fix the top do???

Conductive pen would work too, as others have used it instead of defogger.

The defogger kit can be bought from nearly any auto parts store.

I also had the 2 times falashing green lights an dthan the red and green....after fixing the d0 lane with coductive silver the problem was solved....only i still can`t get mu alladin chip working because i have to solder the f*cking d0 to this chip....
Does anybody knows another (easier to solder) d0 point ....i have a 1.5 xbox (with focus av chip)????

I'm assuming you mean your finger on the xbit's D0 pin, not your finger on the actual D0 point (or is it soldered)?

Either way, sounds like your D0 connection isn't firm.  Reseat or resolder the chip.

solder the alternative D0 - GROUND underneath mobo, if the top D0 is moody.....

one way or the other the sod should boot off lpc then, though with 2 x D0 - Ground's you are not gonna be able to switch the mod off easily

if the Alt D0 point works better then forget the top D0 point
