I'm using v2.8 and the screen darkens out and just flickers. It never goes past the load mission screen.

Sounds as if the save is getting corrupt, try a different memory card.

if ur using the japanese version xbox i believe you would need the japanese exploit game save. dunno. correct me if im wrong.

Iv'e tried using a different memory card and it does the same thing. The save work's perfect on a NTSC machine. I am using an original copy of Mechassault NTSC-J. Could the problem be that the game save need to be for that region as well?

It should work fine. there is no separate ntsc-j save. try deleting any other saves/dc and using a normal video cable

I tried using the -J game in my softmodded xbox to load up the game save exploit and got the same results. I'm guessing that the game I got is not exploitable? It's an original game not a classis. I'm out of ideas.

like krayzie says, is that the only save on your xbox? i didn't think it'd matter either but it really does. delete all other MA saves on your xbox! or try using splinter cell or 007. they come pretty cheap these days you know...

You can have other game saves and the MA exploit will still work. However, you DO have to delete EVERYTHING in the game saves manager under MA. Then copy over the exploit and try it. After that, even after other save games are there your exploit will still work. It just needs to be the first saved.
