Are you sure it is CLOCK LOOP?

Signs of CLOCK LOOP is normal bootup complete
with the big X with MS logo, and then blank
screen with a little blob or just part of green orb
before it reboots to the big X with the MS logo.

Yes, it is exatly like you described.  I will try all of your methods until one works.  I do have linux installed, is there any way to get it of the harddrive and not just off the dashboard.

Got it finally to boot using a bootable linux image(phlak 0.2.1) thanks fort the help.

Im having this same problem but my xbox has been on for two hours and still nothing.Ive tried pressing a and ive tried the network cable one but neither are working.When you say a damaged music cd what do you mean by damaged?Do you mean like scratched up and stuff or a messed up song on the cd.
