MS is doing some injenuitive banning by checking hard drive files.

but that would require me to open the xbox and voide the warrenty. i just got my xbox and my partner got me the 2 year warrenty from bust buy. I dont want to void any warrenty.  right now i am just thinking about forgetting about modding it till way way way into the future...

Thanks

Well, since I use my PC mainly for online gaming (mostly BFVietnam), I can't imagine I would get much use out of an xbox live subscription.  I think I'm gonna try out XBConnect and see how that looks.

XBConnect is nice. I like it a lot. I got the 2 month free trial for XBL and was wasted because my box was soft modded. I even tried uninstalling the mod and it still didn't work.

I also found another program like XBC but I haven't really got into it yet. It looks really nice: teamxlink.co.uk

I think we need to create a firewall, so that MS cant see what we have on our xboxes. They say, why do we need one? We say we want privacy! We will fight them on the Pcs we will fight them on the Xboxes! Let us unite as brothers!

In fact, if you install a softmod you also void your warranty since the user license explicitly states you are only allowed to run xbox signed software.  Use of any unsigned software voids your warranty.

If however you can still cleanup your softmod when your xbox has some sort of malfunction (like the dvd drive won't read discs anymore fe) you could get away with it without the factory guys knowing about it...

But if you are scared about losing your warranty, don't mod at all.

I think however the risc of fucking up completely is very low, especially if you use the gamesave hacks for exploiting your xbox (iso hotswapping).  Combined with the fact that an xbox does not cost *that* much anymore, i see no reason in why one wouldn't mod it  blink.gif
