thank you ricef for correcting me...
and also for making me look like a complete ass!
Lol, sorry. I guess you gotta learn somehow.
Anyhow there's tutorials for upgrading the hard drive - I'd recommend reading them.
why dont you just delete the files that evox created if your worried about ms possibly scanning your stock drive for changes? simple solution.
(i bet ms could implement scanning drives for changes) oh and if you get banned its tied to your eeprom so
the hard drive will cease to matter as far as live access goes you will need a new eeprom.
theArchitect, running the evox via the game save will not put any files on your C drive. Running the "Backup" in evox won't create any files on your C Drive.
When you load the game save exploit it goes into the E Drive under the UDATA folder. In side that folder each game has it's own number. Find the number for 007, MA, SC or whatever, go into that folder and you'll see another folder of just numbers. go in there. That's where the game save exploit lives. If you want to get rid of the exploit, just delete it from your hard drive from the MS dashboard. This will remove all evidence that you ever used it. If you run the backup, evox will make a folder called "backup" in the location I just described. That's where you will find your eeprom.bin file.
Just so you know, it is possible to use Live on a softmodded xbox. Just search the forum. You must have the original retail disc and you must boot to it directly (put it in the drive, turn the power off, turn the power on, don't use eject to power up).
Sorry I typed a book. Hope you understand better.
You obviously don't get the Xbox - it won't boot off a memorycard - simply because the BIOS isn't mapped this way.
This is why hacks like 007 will never work until you copy the save over.
